Our Story
The Beginning:
James Visingardi, Paul's father, came to America from Italy at the age of 5 in 1929. Being the eldest of all of the Visingardi children, he grew up quick and faced many trials and tribulations as an immigrant child.
James married Beverly Morrison which, they together, raised six children. Throughout this time,James and Beverly owned many businesses including a butcher shop and a grocery in Wyandotte. Together, James and Beverly decided to move their business and family to Belleville, Michigan. While in Belleville, James opened Jim's Market Huron River Drive. It was in this restaurant where the Visingardi children were raised and where the "business bug" first bit Paul at a young age. |
Paul's Vision: |
Today:Now, over 30 years later, Paul's family continues to carry on the Visingardi legacy and Italian-American tradition of hard work, quality food and great service through Vizzy's Pizza!

Wanting to follow in his parents footsteps, Paul first ventured into the pizza business in 1989.
Having been raised in a business himself, Paul along with his wife Sheila, chose to raise their children in their establishment as well. They knew it is through this environment the children would be exposed to all aspects of business life. Jessica and Mario-Vincent, have grown to become hard working, business minded adults. Paul and Sheila have old customers come in on a regular basis and comment how they remember the children playing in a back area or running around out front of the "old store" on Newburgh Road in Wayne, Michigan. |
